| Throughout my time in the Far East I lived and worked with the local people,
teaching them my language and culture and learning theirs. Since I had no
financial subsistence, I supported myself by teaching English in Hong Kong,
Korea and Taiwan where I also studied the Chinese language. During my time
abroad I found myself constantly helping others but most significant was my work
in Calcutta, volunteering for Mother Theresa in her home for the sick and dying.
While in Calcutta I also worked for Dr. Jack who gave up his practice in England
in order to set up a street clinic which provides bandages, medical exams,
medicine, vitamins, bananas, soap and sometimes even money for the poor.
